Kisuma, a global leader in advanced inorganic additives and functional materials for various industries, has taken a new step toward sustainable logistics in collaboration with HUSA Logistics. From now on, the transportation of products between the Kisuma factory and the HUSA warehouse in Veendam will be carried out using a fully electric truck, a Mercedes E-Actros.

Veendam, 11 September 2025 – Kisuma provides innovative technologies that help its customers innovate and transform in the field of sustainability. Kisuma’s applications can be found in a wide range of industries such as plastics, medical and pharmaceutical products, agriculture, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.

The long-standing partnership with HUSA Logistics—which offers not only transport services but also extensive loading and unloading facilities and over 70,000 m² of storage capacity—has been a key link in the supply chain for many years. The warehouse in Veendam serves as a logistics hub between manufacturers and factories, storing a wide variety of goods ranging from food products to project cargo and classified materials.

The introduction of the electric truck marks a new step in Kisuma and HUSA’s shared ambition to reduce their environmental impact. The truck, branded with Kisuma visuals, symbolizes innovation and sustainability and will now be a regular sight in Veendam and the surrounding area.

During the celebratory launch, Kisuma Director Mr. Inoue, HUSA Logistics Director Maurice de Wilde, and Alderman Henk-Jan Schmaal highlighted the significance of this milestone.
