PVC windows are window systems made from Poly Vinyl chloride (PVC). Profiles are essentially hollow, multi-chambered frames extruded from rigid PVC often reinforced with steel inside for strength.

But, PVC decomposes when heated, releasing hydrogen chloride (HCl). This leads to discoloration and loss of mechanical properties. ALCAMIZER™ (hydrotalcites) products absorb HCl, preventing degradation. Hydrotalcites help maintain thermal stability during extrusion (180-200°C) and during it life time with long-term outdoor exposure.

ALCAMIZER™ products have a synergistic effect. Often used alongside calcium/zinc stabilizers, hydrotalcites enhance long-term stability and keep the white color of window profiles for years.
