Kisuma Chemicals BV (KCBV) produces above 15.000 mt of speciality magnesium compounds per year. These non-toxic products find their way mainly to the engineering plastics and polymer processing industry.

Markets and application:

• Heat stabilisation of PVC products, as an alternative for lead containing compounds.
• Flame retardancy of e.g. wire and cables in automotive and ICT applications, as an alternative for bromine or phosphorous based compounds.
• Halogen scavenging in poly propylene and other bulk polymers.

Technical service and application support to existing and new customers is supplied by a dedicated team of specialists in Veendam. Kyowa’s extensive R&D organisation in Japan is available for any other support requirement. The company is especially active in the development of tailor-made coating technologies to adapt our products to the different plastics systems of our key customers.

Sales 

Sales of our products mainly go through Mitsui & Co, being one of the world’s oldest and largest trading company with offices in more than 150 cities in almost 70 countries. Logistics 

The manufacturing site in the Netherlands at Veendam is perfectly located for transport by truck, by train or by ship. Our products can be delivered in any quantity to almost any destination in Europe within 48 hours. Our strategic stock position is such that we are able to do so for our key customers.

Standard products are available in 20 kg PE bags (800 kg per pallet) and in 1 m3 bulk bags (2 x 500 kg per pallet). Special arrangements can be made upon request.
