Non-toxic & Non-Halogen Flame Retardant for polyolefins and nylons
High-purity Magnesium Hydroxide
Advantages
- Excellent as a non-toxic flame retardant.
- Prevents corrosion of molding machines and mold dies.
- Can be compounded to high concentrations in EVA, EEA, VLDPE, PP, EDPM, etc.
- Improves arc and tracking resistance.
- Improves polypropylene’s MFI, flexural modulus and impact strength.
- Heat capacity od endothermic decomposition per unit of weight is higher than ATH.
- Thermal degradation and electrical properties (volume resistivity, dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent) are better than ATH filled compounds.
- Synergistic effects with red phosphorus or carbon black.
